I was planting some flowers in the pots around the front door when I looked down and saw this...

Pileated Woodpecker

As you may know, we have a pileated woodpecker that has been regularly been coming to our feeders. I can never get really close enough for a great picture, but these at least confirm the event.

Walk in the woods

We found a new walking path which is just down the road from us. It's a very nicely paved path that winds through dense woods for about a mile. I included the one of Trixie shaking which was caught inadvertenly but showed nice contrast in color. I liked how her walking gear which consists of a collar, leash, face harness (to prevent pulling) disappears which is exactly how she would want it to be.
